The Albion Park Kennel Club was formed 54 years ago. They run 3 shows throughout the year, 2 being for themselves and 1 being at the Dapto Show for the Dapto A & H Society Inc.

The aim of the club is to promote pure bred dogs and to help protect the rights of pet owners against aggressive legislation.

At the Dapto Show the dogs are placed into 7 different categories:

• Toys
• Terriers
• Gundogs                                                   
• Hounds
• Working Dogs
• Utility
• Non-sporting

They then compete against their own breed and if selected, continue on to compete against the other dogs in their category and then dogs from other categories until only the “Best in Show” dog remains.

The Albion Park Kennel Club meets the 3^rd Wednesday of every alternate month at the Dapto Leagues Club in the function room.  For more information please contact Sandy Somerville (02) 42617788.  All Visitors Are Welcome To The Meetings.
