Christiarne has been living in Dapto with her family since  5 years old  and attended the local catholic primary school, St John's moving onto Corpus Christi Catholic High School, Oak Flats, as one of the founding Year 7 students. In Year 12, Christiarne was selected as one of the Student Leaders (or commonly known as School Captain).  

Christiarne first got involved with horses at the age of 10 as a member of Berkeley Pony Club and fell in love with dressage and show riding and competing on her then pony, Bailey.  Christiarne has participated at the Dapto Show in both the pony club events as well as the open hack classes and stockhorse events with her current horse, Bella. 

The other highlight of Dapto Show for her was watching the sashing and introduction of the Dapto Showgirl and as a 13 year old was in awe of the girls in their dresses, being on stage, being the "face" of the Dapto Show.                 It was then that Christiarne decided that she wanted to be Dapto Showgirl when she was finally old enough. 

Over the past few years she has volunteered her time helping at the Dapto Show, mostly in the horse arena, although her sister Felicity is the chef of the family, entering her baking creations in the pavilion section.

Christiarne has just completed her HSC and was lucky enough to receive a guaranteed early entry offer from the University of Wollongong into the Faculty of Arts where she hopes to study communication and media. She has a particular interest in a career involving public relations and promotional work, and it is something Christiarne believes is most important in fulfilling the role of Dapto Showgirl, as she is an ambassador for the community. 

We wish Christiarne all the very best at the Zone Final in March 2 012 and if successful, Christiarne would move into the finals of The Land Sydney Royal Showgirl Competition.
